Production Operator

Scope:

To facilitate production in our Waterford Plant. Ensure operation of equipment to its maximum potential. Ensure safety standards are maintained and are adhered to.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Following of safety standards, safe systems and safe places of work.
• Reporting and correcting of any unsafe acts & conditions.
• Carry out safety checks as assigned.
• Following of policies and procedures including ISO procedures.
• Responsible as part of a team for the satisfactory performance and utilisation of production equipment.
• The correct production specifications and packaging are utilised and followed.
• To record and maintain the necessary quality records.
• Achieving and beating KPI targets as set by Management (e.g. efficiency, MOEE.)
• To report any kind of deviation in production output.
• Aid Leadhand in machine set-up and product changeovers.
• To aid in the development of and to keep production records.
• Keeping production costs to a minimum.
• Materials reconciliation.
• Make recommendations for improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
• Make safety recommendations.
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping.

This is a full time permanent position on a 4 cycle shift rotation. Candidates must have availability to work day & night shifts.
