Financial Analyst – Operations
Location: Hybrid 3 days a week in Cleveland, OH | Team: Finance & Operations |

At Charter Manufacturing, we’re looking for a sharp, business-minded Financial Analyst to partner with our Operations team and turn data into decisions. This isn’t just about crunching numbers—it’s about uncovering opportunities, solving problems, and helping our manufacturing operations run smarter and leaner.
You’ll be the go-to expert for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. From identifying savings to leading process improvements, your insights will directly influence operational success and strategic direction.
What You’ll Do
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with precision and insight
Analyze operational performance and cost drivers to recommend improvements
Develop ROI models and financial analysis for capital projects and CI initiatives
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-financial stakeholders
Own month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
Create and maintain KPIs to support production, efficiency, and strategic goals
Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes through thoughtful review and implementation
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams
Support ERP system enhancements and financial systems integration
What You Bring – Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of accounting or finance experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to interpret data from multiple sources and make actionable recommendations
Understanding of key manufacturing cost drivers
Experience working independently and in team leadership roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with ERP and financial systems
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, CPA, or progress toward certification
5+ years of accounting/finance experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Experience with QAD, Oracle, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Reporting
Advanced financial modeling skills: ROI, IRR, NPV, payback analysis, economic profit
Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience with process mapping capabilities
Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing business needs
Willingness to travel up to 5%
