Job Description

Description: The Production Resource, is responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieves performance targets as agreed with Production Management.

 

Reporting Location: Stanwood, MI

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 / year
Annual Bonus: This role is eligible for an annual bonus

Schedule: Night Shift, 2-2-3 rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area
• Review daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements
• Prioritize, schedule, and ensure maintenance and repairs are completed to maximize efficiency
• Review daily maintenance effectiveness with Maintenance Mechanic and Team members to identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members and Production Management
• Understand internal and external regulations, procedures and policies and apply them fairly and consistently
• Manage relationships with internal customers and suppliers, colleagues and support services to ensure achievement of targets

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production environment with direct line ownership in large-scale factories
• Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field preferred
• Understanding of processes and mechanics of line equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of machinery to ensure efficient and safe production operations
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite and EPR software (SAP preferred)
• Experience with MP2 maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Understanding of cost implications, quality and hygiene requirements
• Ability to grow relationships with business partners and to lead, coach and develop employees
