Are you an experienced Sales Engineer ready to leverage your technical expertise in delivering cutting-edge solutions? Trimble is seeking a Sales Engineer with comprehensive experience in GIS technologies, particularly Esri ArcGIS, to effectively demonstrate the integration of geospatial solutions within enterprise asset management (EAM) and asset lifecycle management (ALM) environments. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in leveraging GIS capabilities to enhance permit, licensing, and land solutions for municipal governments, counties, states, and federal agencies.

What You Will Do

 As the Sales Engineer for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Life Cycle Management (ALM), you will be instrumental in expanding Trimble's footprint in EAM and ALM software solutions. You will play a critical role in supporting the sales team and promoting the adoption of Trimble’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and  Permit, Licensing and Land (PLL) solutions to prospective clients. You will leverage your technical expertise, industry knowledge, and customer-focused approach to understand client requirements, demonstrate product capabilities, and articulate the value proposition of Trimble ALM in addressing their business needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the sales teams to identify and qualify leads, opportunities, and strategic accounts for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Permit, Licensing and Land (PLL) solutions.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical workshops to showcase the features, functionalities, and benefits of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Permit, Licensing, and Land (PLL) solutions to prospective clients.

  • Understand client requirements, business processes, and challenges to tailor solutions and provide recommendations that align with their specific needs and objectives.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product managers, implementation specialists, and customer support teams, to ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation and customer success.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to position Trimble EAM and ALM solutions effectively and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.

  • Provide pre-sales technical support, respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), and prepare technical documentation, solution architectures, and pricing proposals as needed.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers, influencers, and technical champions, to drive customer engagement and loyalty.

  • Conducting compelling sales presentations and dynamic product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Trimble EAM and ALM software.

  • Collaborating with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure technology adoption within municipal governments, counties, states, and federal agencies.

  • Managing complex organizational relationships by effectively engaging multiple stakeholders.

  • Supporting a team-selling approach alongside Business Development Managers and Account Executives to identify opportunities for expanding software licenses and technical services.

  • Crafting detailed technical documentation and guidance for Request for Quote/Proposals (RFQ/RFP) and sales contracts.

  • Collaborating with the marketing team on strategy and tactics for prospecting and account-based marketing. 

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, finance, Computer Science, or a municipal planning or asset management related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of permit, licensing, and land workflows and solutions for municipal governments, County, State, or Federal agencies

  • Hands-on experience with the ArcGIS Esri platform, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.

  • Demonstrated success (3+ years) as a sales engineer within a software company environment; or commensurate experience in implementing, administrating, or supporting technical solutions for government agencies

  • Proficiency in software implementation consulting or support, or a related combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to navigate undefined situations and address business process challenges adeptly.

  • Strong capability to document product functionality requirements and desired workflow outcomes clearly.
