Director, Amazon Customer Development, Wellness Brands is responsible for developing the strategic growth plan and functional leadership to drive sales of Nestle Health Science’s Wellness portfolio of brands on Amazon.  The responsibility stretches across several iconic brands such as Garden of Life, Nature’s Bounty, Solgar, and Nuun. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Nestle Health Science’s wellness brands on Amazon.
  • Deliver revenue and profit growth objectives, including establishing brand and category growth strategies aligned with the customer’s goals & objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities for revenue and category growth.
  • Develop joint business plans with Amazon.
  • Drive target budget plan and new product distribution goals.
  • Oversee relationship and regular engagement with agency partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as digital media, creative, and finance to ensure plan execution.
  • Maintain operational excellence with a focus on account health, listing management, and sales operations.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and unlock new opportunities with media, content, and innovation.
  • Travel up to 15% for team meetings, training, conferences, etc. 

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years consumer product sales experience required.
  • 5+ years Ecommerce sales experience; Health & Wellness Ecommerce experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership with Amazon.
  • Proven experience establishing effective pricing and promotional activities to increase sales and market share for the company and its customers.
  • Financial and inventory planning acumen: experience managing a P&L/budget; forecasting.
  • Experience with project management including project planning and management in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong relationship and account management experience; well versed in working collaboratively with partners and customers to drive initiatives that deliver on goals.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong financial/business acumen and revenue generating skills.
  • Ability to lead autonomously while getting buy-in from Executive Leadership and aligning with business objectives. 
  • Dynamic leader who can push past obstacles, overcome objections, and motivate a team. 
  • Ability to determine and elicit creative solutions and push beyond the obvious to deliver recommendations that cover new or “unchartered” territories.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; articulate communicator who can quickly synthesize data.
  • Practice active listening with customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, shift priorities as required, and ultimately meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and exhibit follow-through.
  • Problem solver with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, etc.)
