AttainX is in search of a dynamic Senior DevOps/Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps/Systems Engineer at AttainX, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of our infrastructure and software development processes. This position requires an individual to have an extensive background in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and systems administration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system administrators, and IT operations, to implement and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise in automation, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure will be crucial in driving efficient and reliable software development workflows, enhancing our operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- DevOps Expertise: Extensive and demonstrated experience in implementing and managing DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies for Federal Government contracts.
- Cloud Technologies: Must have advanced skills in cloud platforms, such as AWS and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, for automating software builds and deployments.
- Scripting and Automation: Experienced with the following scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
- Monitoring Solutions: Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) for system performance analysis and issue detection.
- Security Best Practices: Understanding security principles and best practices in cloud and systems administration.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, and to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Required Certifications: Must have at least one of the following active/current certifications (Professional AWS Certification either in DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Duties:
- DevOps Strategy: Develop and implement DevOps strategies, tools, and best practices to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes.
- CI/CD Implementation: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless and automated application deployments.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management and optimization of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Automation: Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards, implementing measures to protect data and systems.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Plan and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the development process and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
