Responsibilities
We seek a highly motivated and skilled entry-level stormwater civil engineer to join our team. As an entry-level engineer, you will assist in designing, analyzing, and implementing stormwater management systems and solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge in a practical and impactful way, contributing to the development of sustainable and resilient communities.
- In this role, the selected applicant will work on large-scale flood control and drainage system projects.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support the preparation of technical documents for regulatory compliance.
- Implement and inspect stormwater best management practices on construction sites.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to stormwater management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate stormwater solutions into site design.
- Provide technical support during construction activities.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity estimates.
- Prepare construction, topographic, and boundary survey layouts.
- Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Solid understanding of concepts of flood control and drainage systems.
- Solid understanding of stormwater hydrology and hydraulics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and hydraulic modeling tools.
- EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of starting.
- 0-1 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous intern experience relating to flood control is highly preferred.
