Nuclear Safety Engineer (2794)

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Nuclear Safety Engineer. This is a hybrid position/ 75% teleworking.

The Nuclear Safety subject matter expert will revise sections of the Hanford tank farms documented safety analysis (DSA), technical safety requirements (TSRs), supporting nuclear safety documentation, and participate in resolution of technical issues and respond to questions that arise during the review and approval cycle

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in an Engineering field and a minimum of 20 years with Nuclear Safety experience in preparing and defending Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) amendments.
• Experience pertaining to DOE nuclear Hazard Category 1, 2, and 3 facilities, hazards analysis and accident analysis.
• Experience preparing Documented Safety Analysis and Technical Safety Requirements, and Safety Design Strategy documents, working with DOE standards DOE-STD-3009-2014 and DOE-STD-1189-2016.
• Experience in directly supporting Nuclear Safety on DOE sites with safety basis development is desired.
