Job Description

Square’s Sales and Account Management Enablement team is looking for a creative learning experience designer who is passionate about our mission of economic empowerment. This role will focus on designing and developing engaging and meaningful learning experiences that drive performance improvement across a global audience. Training materials will focus on sales skills and methodology in addition to a broad range of other Square-related topics, targeting behaviors that have the greatest measurable impact on performance for the organization. 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience building instructor-led training and e-learning materials for sales teams. They are innovative, driven, and lead with empathy. They are knowledgeable in business acumen, emerging instructional techniques, adult learning theories, learning outcome assessments, project management strategies, and gamification.

You Will: 

  • Partner with enablement program managers to identify opportunities to increase sales skills among the sales and account management teams.
  • Consult with enablement partners on the best modalities and delivery methods for sales methodology and sales skills blended learning programs.
  • Manage the instructional design process from end to end, from research and analysis, to design and development. 
  • Apply design thinking strategies to build learning solutions that close performance gaps.
  • Create engaging and visually stunning learning content that drives sales effectiveness at scale.
  • Project manage complex initiatives in a rapidly changing environment where multiple cross-functional teams are involved.
  • Determine learning objectives, provide clear timelines through all phases of work, and create multiple deliverables for successful implementation.
  • Ensure adult learning principles and a systematic instructional design process is applied to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner (includes online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content).
  • Develop exercises, tutorials, assessments, and other methods of learning, including social or connected learning strategies.
  • Advise on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of learning outcomes based on business needs.

Qualifications

You Have: 

  • 6+ years experience designing learning programs in a business setting
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales enablement
  • Direct experience designing and developing adult education curricula, training materials and content to include online/e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training assets
  • Well-versed in sales methodologies and adult learning best practices
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Google Slides and Adobe Creative Suite
  • An eye for visual design and a passion for creating engaging user experiences in alignment with accessibility best practices and standards
  • Ability to create and edit graphics, audio assets, and videos
  • Demonstrated project management skills; exceptional organizational skills, follow-through with cross-functional teams, and stakeholder management.
