Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

To provide planning, facilitation and logistics support for Taylor Center’s cultural, social and educational programming and for student sponsored events.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, asses and lead small group conversations and support Taylor Center selected events and programs:
    • Collaborate on developing event engagement proposals
    • Collaborate on team projects and facilitate conversations
    • Create and distribute publicity on campus and online
    • Execute event logistics (space reservations, food catering, print orders, etc.)
    • Drive college vehicles (if authorized as certified driver) 
    • Attend training, meetings and programs sessions, committees, etc. 
  • Assist on development of online, visual and social platform communications for Taylor Center Programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between student organizations, college staff, and departments.
  • Collaborate on special projects as needed.

 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

Required:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Google applications
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with event logistics on campus
  • Experience with group facilitation

 

Desired:

  • Availability to continue in this position for a minimum of 2 academic years
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and social media management
  • Familiarity and knowledge of the Taylor Center’s activities and programs
  • College certified driver
  • Student leadership experience
