Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC is a world class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs that brings innovative solutions to our customers. With a focus on improvement and growth, we are currently seeking a passionate, detail-oriented individual to join our team in the IGT Parts Repair Division.

As a Jr. Engineer at the MD&A Houston Service Center, you’ll be an essential part of our process. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a team of dedicated engineers and repair specialists. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following: 

• Review client scope of work and issue routers for inspection and repairs of gas turbine components that match client scope.
• Create and revise inspection forms using Microsoft Excel as needed.
• Verify and order consumable materials to complete projects.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete scope of work required for inspection/repair.
• Follow repair and inspection projects through their life and provide technical support.
• Compile project data to provide inspection and repair reports.
• Additional opportunities/responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• A 2-year technical degree or B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to think outside the box.
• Aptitude for CAD modeling and drafting (Siemens NX, SolidWorks)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Programming experience is a plus (VBA, C++, Python, PCDMIS).
• Must be ablet to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Must be mobile and comfortable working in both shop and office environments.
