You will work out on the plant floor in partnership with the Production Supervisor as they assist their shift to produce a quality product efficiently. You will ensure proper standards & physical test requirements are met for each customer, and will work with the Quality Manager to disposition non-conformance. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring coatings are applied within spec and to maintain optimum paint usage through daily audits. You will work on the production floor inspecting coils on the line as they are coated. This is an excellent pathway to a Production Supervisor role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop rapport & engage with team members to correct quality deviations as they occur.
• Provide detailed shift recaps that include root cause of any quality issues that occurred.
• Assist as backup to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School diploma and 2+ years of experience in a quality role preferably in the steel, coating or manufacturing industry or experience as a production lead/ group leader or similar role in a continuous production environment.

• Accuracy with details, regulatory, legal or requirement, timely and concise record keeping
• Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate with peers, management, vendors & customers
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
• Must be able to work various shifts in a plant environment
