Job Description
We are a growing technology consulting company dedicated to helping our clients innovate and succeed. We specialize in providing end-to-end technology solutions to various industries, with a focus on digital product engineering. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Senior Python Engineer/Consultant to join our team and contribute to our clients' success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients to develop scalable and efficient solutions.
- Designing, implementing, and delivering user stories on time, with high quality, while following an Agile development lifecycle.
- Developing and maintaining high-quality Python code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Solving complex problems as part of a team
- Writing code to standards, implementing best practices.
- Identifying, and communicating, technical debt and risk, and effecting resolutions.
- Collaborating with Product Owners in Release/Iteration planning.
- Reviewing code for testability, maintainability and adhering to best practices.
- Mentoring junior members on the team.
- Optimizing database queries and implementing caching strategies to improve the performance and responsiveness of client platforms.
- Staying current with the latest trends and developments in the Python ecosystem and related technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our offerings and client solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience of back-end Python services.
- 5+ years of experience with Typescript (React or Angular).
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Proficient with object-oriented design and Python coding best practices, including unit and integration testing techniques.
- Experience with popular Python Web/API frameworks such as Django.
- Strong understanding of databases (relational and NoSQL) and experience with database modeling, querying writing, and tuning. Experience with Postgres is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and stay current with industry trends.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work with and as part of client teams.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience with message queue systems (e.g. RabbitMQ).
- Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.
Additional Information
Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $125,000-$150,000*

Therefore, this good faith salary range will only apply where this described position will be performed in the state, and should not be considered the compensation range in other locations or for other positions.
