Requirements and Description

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 

1.  Verify all transportation/content documentations & vehicle seals
2. Conduct search: mobile containers/storage units and vehicles
3. Screens visitors, couriers and contractors prior to entering building.
4. Conduct search: food & beverage carts prior to loading for delivery.
5. Document security related inquiries from tenants, employees and the general public.
6. Takes reports of criminal or other suspicious activities dealing with Company’s property, personnel or operations.
7. Advises management team of any emergency or security incident for appropriate resolution.
8. Handles all building emergency alarms (i.e., fire, elevator entrapment, intercom and so forth).
9. Inventory keys, radios and other equipment and issue keys to the contractor.
10. Performs any other security related assignment as needed.
11. Maintain established processes that support the airport and airline security processes and regulations. 
12. Search and inspect Airline catering carts, pallets and vehicles. 
13. Ensure compliance with all Company standard operating procedures and policies. 
14. Work incorporation with other associates to inspect carts. 
15. Assist in compiling data for inspection incident statistics. 
16. Document inspection activities on required paperwork for statistical purposes.
17.  Operate a Pallet Jack to commodities to be loaded on trucks. 
18. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Basic Qualifications

Pre-requisites: 

• Must be able to understand and communicate in spoken English.
• Must be a local (in-state) resident.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. 
• Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check. 
• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. 
• Must complete SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.

Security License Requirements:

• Licensed Security
