Job Description:

The Senior Tech Ops Supply Chain Management (Sr TO SCM) Analytics Analyst delivers reporting, metrics, and key performance indicators that support TO SCM and its internal Customers across the enterprise. They’ll serve as an experienced internal consultant, applying advanced data and computer science concepts to design, build, and support integrated self‑service data solutions across the data lifecycle. They’ll collaborate closely with Tech Ops Teams to analyze large, complex, and real‑time data using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to support diverse operational and business needs. The Sr TO SCM Analytics Analyst drives improved supply chain and vendor performance by converting data into actionable insights that inform strategic planning and operational decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Drive highly complex self-service data integration projects that bring together data from disparate sources in order to make it available to business Customers such as data scientists, analysts, and analytic users
  • Apply advanced data integration methods to massive data sets in order to create solutions which can be utilized in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
  • Interact with functional leaders across multiple and concurrent projects
  • Formulate and communicate solutions and options for moderately complex problems
  • Support the ongoing effectiveness of data assets in use by business Customers in self-service environments
  • Support the ongoing development of the Southwest Airlines Tech Ops Analytics Community
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of purchase and service agreements and identify applicable penalties associated to support cost-savings
  • Calculate and tracks results of operational efforts (Savings, Cost avoidance, etc) against established metrics and ensure compliance to complex contractual terms and conditions
  • Translate analytics into actionable content to enable timely and relevant decision-making through development of reporting and dashboards using analytical tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Collaborate with other Departments and work groups to understand requirements and gain efficiencies
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of test and control methodologies and experimental design
  • Skilled in acquiring data in both relational and noSQL databases
  • Skilled in integrating, storing, and processing data in a self-service environment
  • Skilled in both inductive and deductive reasoning and problem solving approaches
  • Skilled in problem solving, critical thinking, and project management
  • Skilled in driving moderately complex data integration projects including participating in business stakeholder meetings, solution definition and planning, detailed task and deliverable definition and creation, and project schedule creation
  • Skilled in developing plans for data integration projects
