Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related Engineering field, or equivalent experience
• one year of experience in supporting automation and/or control systems
• strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word)
• strong knowledge of personal computers, printers, network configuration, IT terminology and architecture
• demonstrated proficiency with either Human Machine Interface (HMI) software (i.e. iFix or Wonderware or RSView) and/or ladder logic (i.e. RSLogix or Siemens Step 7 or DirectSOFT5)
• demonstrated ability to analyze and summarize information and data
• demonstrated strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• excellent presentation skills and the ability to develop training materials
• demonstrated ability to train both individuals and groups
• demonstrated professionalism
• demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, and be a self-starter
• demonstrated ability to absorb and retain information readily
• demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

Preferred Qualifications

• one year of experience supporting automation systems at Publix
• two years of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming experience.

• knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory
