This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. Director, Digital Product Management- AAA/The Auto Club Group

Reports to: AVP or Above

What will you do:

The Director of Digital Product Management is responsible for setting the vision, strategy and execution for our customer-facing digital experiences across web, mobile, self-service channels and digital touchpoints and member journeys with the focus on engaging, personalizing and simplifying member experiences. This role drives cross-functional influence and carries direct accountability for customer experience, digital adoption and operates at both a strategic and operational level – owning product vision and roadmap while building, coaching and scaling product teams. This leader aligns business objectives, customer needs, and technology capabilities to deliver measurable value through web, mobile, and platform-based products. The Director reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Digital Engagement and Ecommerce and partners with other leaders in Marketing, IT and key lines of business. The Director will lead a team of 3-5 digital product managers and work cross functionally.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned to company strategy and customer needs across a portfolio of platforms, including AAA.com, MyAccount, mobile app experiences, and communications (email, SMS and chat).

  • Own multi‑year product roadmaps and prioritizing initiatives and product features based on business impact, customer value, technical feasibility and strategic alignment.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to other areas of business aligning product priorities to enterprise goals and providing clear, executive‑level communication on progress, outcomes, and tradeoffs.

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end modernization of the AAA member mobile experience, including product discovery and delivery across agile teams including the consolidation of multiple apps into a single, unified platform that enables intuitive self‑service, clear access to benefits and rewards, and increased perceived membership value.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a product organization by establishing consistent product management practices, rituals and success metrics while fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement grounded in experimentation and customer‑centric thinking.

  • Partner closely with UX, Engineering, Marketing, Data, Legal, and Compliance teams while removing blockers, managing dependencies and competing priorities across teams.

  • Serve as the primary product voice with senior leadership, communicate roadmap progress, performance metrics, and tradeoffs clearly.

  • Implement marketing automation platforms to automate personalized customer journeys and track performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises 3-5 direct reports, ranging from associate to manager level

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree/MBA preferred.

  • SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban training and/or certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Scrum Master, Kanban certifications)
