Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to provide hydrological support to the Department for all aspects of data collection by conducting fieldwork as directed by objectives of the Hydrology Division and Field Services Section. This position will assist with all aspects of the Automated Groundwater Monitoring program including the preparation and installation of automated groundwater monitoring equipment at well sites, site operations and maintenance, site troubleshooting and repairs, and the downloading of data from automated devices at wells sites and the uploading of data into GWSI Oracle. Additional position assignments will include statewide manual water level measurements, stream flow measurements, GPS and gravity surveys and well discharge measurements as required. This position will input data into and maintain ADWR databases.
The person in this position will repair and install automated well sites. Repairs at well sites include replacement of entire well site components. The position must be able to drive to well sites, lift equipment with flexibility and maneuver around well sites, and must have ability to mix concrete and pour well pads, install sounding tube, well shelters, masts and other automated equipment.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:- Operate and maintain ADWR's automated groundwater monitoring network.
- Conduct manual groundwater level measurements for quality control and instrument calibration.
- Collect and manage data from data loggers, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Perform operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated groundwater monitoring equipment at well sites.
- Enter measured groundwater levels and upload automated data into ADWR's GWSI database after quality control reviews.
- Assist in the installation and removal of Automated Groundwater Monitoring sites, including site preparation and installation of equipment such as pressure transducers, GOES radios, and solar panels.
- Perform quality control activities, including telemetry data reviews, equipment testing, and instrument calibration.
- Maintain databases for automated groundwater monitoring, including equipment inventories and site updates.
- Conduct field investigations, including groundwater level measurements, stream flow monitoring, well inventories, and GPS/GNSS and gravity surveys.
- Assist with report drafting and presentations related to the automated groundwater monitoring program.
- Collaborate with other units in the Field Services Section to support program operations.
