Job Description
AECOM has excellent career opportunities for a creative, highly talented, and experienced Project Architect for a USAID project in the Middle East (Ramallah – West Bank). The Project Architect will work on a new set of healthcare projects for USAID in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The projects relate to a US initiative to support healthcare in Palestine. This is an immediate need with the project expected to last until September 2024. (There is a possibility of
a one-year extension, however, this is uncertain at this time) The Senior Architect will be responsible for the following:
- Serves as the professional specialist for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility
- Will advise associates and others involved in the projects(s) to provide professional interpretations and technical knowledge
- Is responsible for the architectural program when the program is of limited complexity and scope, or plans and coordinates detailed phases of a major program
- This position will provide support and leadership to others in achieving the technical objectives of the overall work effort
- The selected individual will be regularly called upon as a key expert in business development pursuits
- Consult with clients and make recommendations to overall senior project leadership as a key
liaison across teams are met - The position will have a close working relationship with local Architect(s)

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Registered Architect is required for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of healthcare facilities is preferred
- Project management skills and experience managing a project team
- Professional public speaking, presentation, and facilitation experience
- Experienced working independently as well as leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Experienced in developing creative and innovative graphics and project layouts
- Experienced with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and, Adobe Creative Suite
- Must have a demonstrated strong leadership experience
- Ability to work in cross-cultural situations with political, cultural, and ethnic sensitivities and
security environments - Is a recognized leader and authority in a broad area of specialization or in a narrow, but highly specialized field
