Innovation.The Supervisor position ensures that exceptional customer service is provided; including interacting with guests, answering guest inquiries, and effectively handling complaints while maintaining professionalism and a friendly positive attitude that supports HAP service excellence values. The Dining Room Supervisor oversees the daily front-of-house operations and actively participates in ongoing training. This position supervises and motivates team members in line with company standards. Live a summer of adventure and memories, both creating your own and for others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the dining room staff and activities.
- Assists management in providing restaurant guests with professional service, and excellent food quality.
- Assists with weekly schedule to ensures that restaurant is staffed appropriately.
- Assists in the personnel development objectives of staff.
- Assists with the Company's meeting their financial goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in the use of computer business applications with a working knowledge of computerized restaurant point of sale (POS) systems is preferred.
- Must read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
- Must be able to regularly lift a minimum of 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
