What You'll Do

As the Manager of Content Engineering, you'll work with an incredibly talented cross-functional team of software engineers and roboticists, product managers, and designers to develop the tooling, algorithms, and expertise that bring our massages to life. You will provide technical and thought leadership, contribute creatively, and deliver production-ready code. 

In this role you will be a critical bridge between our autonomous system and massage expertise.

• Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of core tooling for massage creation, revision, and validation 

• Lead the development of algorithms that drive adaptive user-facing features and personalizations

• Maximize the productivity of the team and continuously expand the variety and quality of massages that we can deliver

• Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential

• Lead code reviews and ensure the delivery of high quality, optimized, production-ready code

• Deliver high-quality, testable code

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of software engineers, roboticists, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative solutions to unsolved problems

• Manage project scope and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

What You’ll Bring

• 8 plus years experience writing developing robotics & full stack software solutions

• 5 years experience managing software engineers in a similar field ideally

• Proficiency writing production level code in Python, C++, Golang, C#, or equivalent

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience

• Exemplary systems design skills and prior experience designing and debugging a highly-complex system 

• Strong product intuition with extensive experience delivering software both in the cloud and on consumer facing devices

• A strong physical intuition and knowledge of robotic manipulation 

• Deep understanding of software development best practices and validation lifecycles 

• Data processing and manipulation experience including user and time series data

• A detail-oriented mindset and eye for perfection coupled with pragmatic execution ability 

• Developed understanding of data structures and algorithms. Ability to writing clean code, leveraging appropriate design patterns, and leveraging engineering best practices

Nice-to-have, but not required

• Prior knowledge of massage techniques and practices 

• Deep expertise in state of the art robotics algorithms 

• Experience working on content or robotics tooling (e.g., robot teleoperation platforms, audio / video tooling, robot scheduling platforms)

• Experience working on medical devices or in a regulated industry

• Experience with ROS and other robotics tooling 

• Experience with AWS, Docker, Airflow, and other similar platforms

• Experience working with Unity applications or frontend frameworks
