Job Summary
The Paralegal is responsible for assisting attorneys in the Banking & Financial Services Practice Group with commercial real estate transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining and organizing deal files.
- Review corporate organizational documents.
- Analyze title documents, real estate documents and ALTA surveys.
- Review and summarize loan documents and construction related contracts.
- Draft and revise loan documents.
- Assist with closing commercial real estate transactions
- interact with clients and maintain client confidentiality.
- Additional responsibilities specific to your assigned practice group may be required.
- Uphold the firm’s reputation as the premier source for sophisticated legal counsel by delivering superior outcomes, service, and value to every client and matter.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or in a legal support role required. Real Estate and/or Banking experience highly preferred.
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant Paralegal certification (i.e. ACEBS) is preferred.
- Work experience as a practicing paralegal in relevant practice area is preferred.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism, and to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to take initiative, be flexible, and demonstrate resiliency
Pay
Hourly non-exempt, $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
