At XE, our IT Business Systems Team ensures the efficient delivery of critical applications to ensure every member of staff at XE can operate at 100% effectiveness.

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our expanding global IT team. Reporting to the Global Service Desk Manager, you will serve as the first point of contact to company staff seeking technical assistance via the Service Desk Portal and provide help on-site and remotely for end-users across the United States as well as staff globally.

What you’ll do:

  • Connect & Achieve: You will be hands-on with the implementation and support of IT Business systems. You will bring support requests to resolution within agreed time frames and assist other engineers to promptly determine root cause analysis and resolve issues and support our IT systems so that all of our staff are fully productive - remote and in-person support of IT systems.
  • Team Player: You will be part of the team responsible for an “always-up, always-available” service (i.e. high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery) environment.
  • Passion for Learning: You are a passionate learner, who proactively develops and grows your understanding with a can-do attitude.

What you will learn:

  • Automated Systems deployment (PDQDeploy, Group Policy, MDT, etc.)
  • Scripting (e.g. PowerShell)
  • Windows technologies (AD, Desktop and Server OS, O365)
  • Service Desk Processes (Ticket, Problem, and Change Management)
  • Application support (MS Office, Salesforce, Cloud-based Phone Systems

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Tech Savvy: You have will A general understanding of how computers and mobile devices work, understand how the internet works and familiarity with technology and technological terms. You will require the ability to learn quickly, be proactive. You will have great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good collaborator: You will have the ability to work in a team, sharing best practice and working collaboratively to raise the bar across the organisation.
  • Strong can-do attitude: Be a passionate team player who focuses on whatever is necessary to meet targets.
  • Desirable

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.

IT certifications.

Programming or scripting experience.
