Electrical Engineer I - Substation (Entry-Level)
Our Substation Engineering team ensures our substation equipment and controls meet the needs for our transmission and distribution systems and infrastructure today and tomorrow. We are hiring an Electrical Engineer I to perform electrical engineering design work for our substations, along with specifying and procuring substation equipment and materials. You will also have the opportunity to lead project and construction management for substation-related projects for our Electric Planning, Electric Construction, Operations, and Energy Supply teams. The work that you will do ensures the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to over 500,000 customers in the Pikes Peak Region!

Engineering Design Responsibilities
- Assisting with reviewing and documenting engineering and construction standards under the guidance of senior engineers
- Developing foundational knowledge of substation equipment and design practices through training and project assistance
- Attending cross-functional meetings to observe technical discussions and gain awareness of organizational processes
- Supporting the preparation of design documentation and drawings under supervision, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with technical tasks during project phases such as design and construction with close oversight from experienced engineers
Project Management Responsibilities
- Facilitating project meetings and effectively communicating between stakeholders and project teams
- Assisting with gathering data and preparin
