Systems Engineer II - Identity, Endpoint Systems and Security

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer II to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identity management, endpoint systems, and security. This role is a hybrid position that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient systems to support our organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identity Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Ensure secure authentication and authorization processes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
  • Implement single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Maintain and update provisioning process.
• Endpoint Systems:
  • Manage and secure endpoint devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices).
  • Deploy and maintain endpoint management solutions (e.g. Intune, Ivanti).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards on all endpoints.
  • Perform regular updates and patch management.
• Security:
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts.
  • Assist in scheduling and conducting vulnerability scans through cloud services
  • Collaborate with the security team to develop and enforce security policies.
• System/Program Automation:
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, enhance system efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitor and test application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and work with developers to implement solutions.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git or other code repositories

• General IT Support:
  • Provide second & third level support for IT-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in system engineering or related fields.
  • Nice to have: Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CEH).
• Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience with identity management, endpoint systems, and security.
  • Identity Management process, automation and solutions.
• Technical Skills:
  • Cloud Provisioning programming and services (e.g., Azure AD, RSA, RSA)
  • Must have deep experience with Microsoft cloud solution experience: Defender for End Point, O365…etc.
  • Proficiency in identity management solutions (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD).
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Ivanti, Jamf).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST-CFS, CIS ).
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Advanced Powershell and Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Salary Range:
