About the role

Nokia of America Corporation, Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA.

Design, implement, support and maintain software used for telecommunications equipment.
Design software and work with product management and product development teams to identify the best approach to develop a new feature, enhance an existing feature or solve a particular software issue given a set of requirements.
Implement software by taking the design and putting it into effect using appropriate data structures and algorithms in C/C++ code.
Perform continuous improvement in areas such as memory usage reduction, performance optimization, and code simplification.
Support and maintain software during quality assurance and product release phases by debugging and solving problems that arise in the software after it is implemented.
Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output.
Responsible for contribution to teamwork. Carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines.
Demonstrate initiative and adaptability to changing business environments. #LI-DNI

Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field

Skills required: Programming languages: C or C++; Use of protocols in computer networking;
Operating system fundamentals, including kernel operations, scheduling, memory management, and semaphores; and Data structures and algorithm fundamentals.
