POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Supervisor is responsible for training and supporting the shift supervisors in ensuring the on-time execution of the production schedule by the shop floor, as well as reporting shift performance and issues into the daily integration meeting. The Senior supervisor will rotate between the Pack Team and the Mix Team to enable the individual to learn all aspects of the manufacturing process. Primarily responsible for ensuring the Shift Supervisors meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role will also be responsible for meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring that Shift Supervisors are well trained and monitoring the performance of the team and taking appropriate actions and escalation when an individual or team is not meeting goals in safety, quality, and productivity. This position will function as the Leader for the Production Teams on the assigned shift and provide more focused guidance within their shift and between shifts to ensure collaboration and overall plant success. This position will work closing with the other Senior Supervisor to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and people are managed and developed to meet the needs of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the continuous improvement programs in manufacturing operations. This is accomplished using assessment tools, identification of best practices and implementation of improvement plans. This also includes the implementation of capital expenditure plans.
- Support the mixing and pack operations.
- Support Senior Operations manager when they are not at the Facility.
- Ability to work all shifts to ensure development of off shift supervisors
- Train incoming Supervisors
- Manage through production down equipment issues with speed/safety to ensure the least amount of production down time.
- Ensure engineering needs of plant facility and production are met and that continual improvement in efficiencies and safety are developed.
- Manage projects for the Senior Operations Manager as well as Global Management within Diversey Analyze the KPIs and provide recommendation to attain or maintain the accepted values of KPIs.
- Ensure shift supervisors are trained to GMP practices and are enforcing requirements across all shifts.
- Make sure everyone on-site is strictly following safety guidelines and have all require PPE as per OSHA requirements.
- Mentor all factory supervisors in equipment functionality, process troubleshooting, safety, GMP compliance, and productivity.
- Assist to ensure that QA floor coverage is provided and drives the review and approval of batch production records.
- Prepare and present briefings to senior management using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Team to assist in the development of plan of actions to reduce internal performance issues.
- Administer coaching and/or disciplinary action in the absence of the operations manager.
- Responsible for writing, quoting, presenting capital projects to Diversey leadership with the Senior Operation Manager.
- Responsible for supporting installation, ramp up and training plans for new facility, team, operations team.
