Job Description

Job Description: The purpose of this role is to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. The role will oversee maintaining all public and private spaces to employer standards. Duties will include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and bathroom services. Attention to detail and a positive attitude is a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.

• Dusting and surface areas, desks, conference tables and counter surfaces weekly or if needed more often
• Performs general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors daily
• Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
• Ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products
• Using vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
• Disposal of trash from bins and containers
• Cleaning sinks, basins, and toilets in private and public bathrooms daily stocking supplies as needed
• Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy
• Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job
• Tackle heavy cleaning jobs as needed basis or when requested
• Must be able to work shift work with 10  hour shifts and weekends.

Qualifications:

• Able to follow verbal directions
• Ability to work well alone, or with a partner or team
• Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
• Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety
