Position Overview

The Senior Procurement Manager is a highly analytical and strategic individual contributor responsible for transforming procurement data into actionable insights that drive smarter business decisions. This role plays a key part in identifying opportunities to streamline procurement operations, optimize vendor spend, and enhance system utilization. This position serves as a critical partner to Operations and Finance teams to modernize and elevate procurement capabilities through data, technology, and process improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze enterprise-wide procurement spend to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and sourcing efficiencies.
  • Lead the development of procurement dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor KPIs, contract compliance, and vendor performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring vendor accountability, service level compliance, and effective communication.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design and implement strategies that streamline procurement operations, reduce manual touchpoints, and support scalability.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on procurement technologies, tools, and system enhancements to improve automation, reporting, and tracking.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor by providing insights on market trends, spend behavior, and sourcing strategies.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving procurement transformation, policy development, and process reengineering.
  • Conduct benchmarking and comparative analytics to assess procurement maturity and vendor competitiveness.
  • Ensure procurement data integrity and consistency across platforms; collaborate with IT and systems teams to maintain data alignment.
  • Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting of procurement-related expenses.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, and experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Familiarity with procurement and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa, SAP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and influence decisions through data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Strong business acumen with a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities.


Physical Requirements

  • Keying/typing, sitting, standing, and walking as part of daily work responsibilities.
  • Requires constant mental and/or visual attention; the work involves both repetitive and varied tasks, requiring sustained focus in an office environment.
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal job performance.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
  • In-office work is required with less than 5% travel to vendor sites or industry events as needed.
