  • Annual Base Salary: $92,000--$123,000/Bonus Eligible

  • Location(s): Scottsdale, Arizona (Hybrid)
  Position Overview. As the Construction Project Manager, you are responsible for managing the execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role provides hands-on project coordination, field oversight, and cross-functional communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with Black Rock Coffee Bar standards. You serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, landlords, architects, and general contractors, ensuring clarity, accountability, and consistent progress across multiple projects.   Services and Duties. The Construction Project Manager supports and coordinates all phases of construction execution, with a strong emphasis on preconstruction readiness, schedule integrity, and field communication. Key responsibilities include:  
  • Conducts thorough inspections of potential sites and existing buildings to assess their suitability for construction projects.
  • Verifies compliance with the Landlord Work Letter requirements by inspecting sites and buildings before the commencement of construction.
  • Participates in both virtual and physical pre-construction meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to discuss project requirements, timelines, and logistics.
  • Attends weekly virtual Owner/Architect meetings to review the project pipeline, assess task progress, and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Participates in weekly virtual Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, representing the company, and collaborates with the general contractor and architect to identify and address any issues or challenges.
  • Monitors project schedules and provides updates, summarizing the status of tasks and milestones and maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Utilizes Ricoh 360 photos to maintain a visual record of construction progress.
  • Conducts initial reviews of pay applications before architect assessment and ensures the accuracy of billed items.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to facilitate the delivery of owner-supplied items required for the construction project.
  • Engages in regular check-ins with the Landlord's general contractor to monitor construction progress for Build-to-Suit (BTS) projects.
  • Maintains a schedule tracking system and provides summarized reports for MS Project recording.

  Skills and Competencies. To excel in this role, you should bring a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal abilities, including the following essential skills and competencies:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, preconstruction, or construction coordination, preferably in retail, restaurant, or multi-site development environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, schedules, and field execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects while maintaining accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with contractors, architects, landl
