Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. The Associate Director, Market Access Systems Excellence within the Market Access Operations team in U.S. Market Access organization will be responsible for the governance of key operational systems, inclusive of implementations, addressing technical gaps, upgrades, and the deployment of process improvement initiatives. This role will report to the Senior Director, Contract Process Excellence and will collaborate with senior leaders and business partners across Market Access operations teams, Market Access, IT, other cross-functional partners, and external vendors.
The successful candidate will have experience with industry revenue management systems, leading technology implementations, demonstrate strong project management skills, be highly organized, and be able to manage large, complex projects in a dynamic environment.
This position is ONSITE in Foster City, CA (Tuesday - Thursday) local candidates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Process Owner for Market Access Operation’s revenue management system responsible for governance of system and related process across operations teams
- Manage annual upgrade and period releases for revenue management system focusing on addressing business needs, evaluating release content, overseeing the design of the detailed project plan, execution of the project plan, and communications to team leads and senior leadership
- Forge strong relationships with revenue management system provider to maximize system capabilities and proactively address business needs
- Technology lead for system implementations to ensure operations business requirements are identified and addressed
- Engage with key stakeholders to support department efforts in solving complex problems and improving performance
- Cross functionally collaborate with operations teams, leads, IT, compliance, Government Pricing, Finance, Data Strategy and Analytics, revenue management system provider, and external vendors to execute on systems implementations, issue resolution, enhancements, and upgrades
- Direct multiple interrelated complex technical projects end to end within prescribed timelines and ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status
- Facilitate organizational change management for key projects, system implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and transition, and new initiatives including rationale, benefits, and impact
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans for key initiatives, including project tasks, milestones, work assignments, schedules, plans, resources, budgets, and status reports
- Identify and manage project risks through proactive communication with project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices and technical successes across the organization
- Provide strategic direction and support teams assigned to implementing the recommendations
- Collaborate with operations leads and senior leaders to address issues and develop remediation plans
- Assist Compliance and SOX PMO to ensure systems/controls compliance
- Remain aware of US regulatory changes and market trends; attend conferences, webinars, etc
