Senior Accountant

At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions. <br/><i>Join us and make a difference!</i> <br/> <br/><b>What you will be doing</b></p><ul><li><span>Manage all accounting operations of the Polish legal entity in line with the Polish Accounting Act. </span></li><li><span>Handle daily inquiries related to general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and fixed assets. </span></li><li><span>Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, payroll accounting. </span></li><li><span>Calculate and evaluate the accruals and <span>provisions.  </span></span></li><li><span>Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules and coordinate with Controlling Team all <span>investments.  </span></span></li><li><span>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings on time in accordance with local accounting standards and company policies. </span></li><li><span>Prepare and ensure accuracy for financial statements, VAT/CIT/PIT returns, and other regulatory reports. </span></li><li><span>Ensure accurate reconciliations between accounts, tax returns, and group reporting. </span></li><li><span>Support monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. </span></li><li><span>Conduct variance analysis incl. KPI reporting and provide financial insights to management. </span></li><li><span>Align local financial statements with global reporting standards. </span></li><li><span>Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors. </span></li><li><span>Monitor changes in Polish tax legislation and assess their impact on the company. </span></li><li><span>Support transfer pricing documentation and reporting obligations. </span></li><li><span>Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. </span></li><li><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a finance partner to the business. </span></li></ul><p> <br/><b>What you bring</b> </p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field  </span></li><li><span>Minimum 3-4 years of experience in accounting. </span></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of Polish GAAP, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements. </span></li><li><span>Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken). </span></li><li><span>Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Comarch) and MS Excel. </span></li><li><span>Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. </span></li><li><span>Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment. </span></li></ul><p> <br/><b>What we offer</b></p><p>By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company.
