Step into a pivotal role with Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, Maine, where you'll drive cross-functional collaboration as a Senior Project Engineer. In this position, you'll be instrumental in coordinating project activities across multiple departments to maintain alignment with overarching goals. The role focuses on supporting cutting-edge technologies and initiatives tied to both commercial and military gas turbine engines. Key hardware responsibilities span components within the compressor, turbine, and bearing compartments.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as Integrated Product Team Lead of multi-disciplinary employees on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas.
  • Develop program schedules and budgets and maintain the integrated master schedules for project(s); and forecast project revenues, monitor costs, and estimate project costs to maximize project profitability and ensure business targets are met.
  • Maintain and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met; Monitor and assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Support military budget Earn Value Measurement System (EVMS) activities.
  • Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.
  • Travel up to 10% (domestic).

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 5 years of prior relevant experience in Project Engineering or a combination of experience in analytical mechanical design and/or manufacturing engineering, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience in Project Engineering or a combination of experience in analytical mechanical design and/or manufacturing engineering.
  • U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in aerospace or defense industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Experience and understanding of project management and planning.
  • Effectively leverage teams across organizations to accomplish goals.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) is responsible for the design, development, field support, and production support of various compressor and turbine components for both military and commercial engines.  This includes fixed metal stators and cases, blade outer air seals and supports, tangential on-board injectors, vane supports, and air seals. Technical disciplines in NBEC include Project, Design, Structures, Durability, Aero Thermal Systems, Aftermarket Sustainment Engineering, Engineering Support to Operations, Product Definition, and Purchased Material Control.
