Warehouse Supervisor (Horseshoe Bossier) Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises and directs all receiving and warehouse functions.  Provides friendly, excellent service to internal and external guests. 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent is required. 
• Prior receiving or warehouse experience required. 
• Supervisory experience preferred. 
• Must have demonstrated initiative and leadership potential. 
• Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations. 
• Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license. 
• Must possess excellent customer relations, interpersonal, team building, problem solving, organizational and communication skills. 
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. 
• Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Supervises all receiving and warehouse functions. 
• Responsible for the receipt, storage, delivery, inspection, computer data input, accounting, rotation and inventory of all items received at Caesars receiving dock and stored in Caesars warehouse. 
• Establishes policies and procedures for the inspection of incoming materials against order and specification for correctness and defects and arranges for return of defective material. 
• Maintains sufficient parts of all warehouse inventory items (directing purchasing via requisitions for purchase using I/P computer system). 
• Establishes policies and procedures for coordinating the requisition of materials from the warehouse to user departments. 
• Ensures efficient transfer and transportation all materials to designated locations between and within all user departments such as office furniture, records, recycling, etc.     
• Supervises periodic and special warehouse inventories.
• Coordinates with the Inventory Control Department to ensure proper reconciliation of book and physical inventories. 
• Establishes policies and procedures to insure the warehouse facilities are kept clean, safe and orderly at all times. 
• Accountable for the organization and maintenance of the warehouse. 
• Completes employee performance appraisals in a timely manner to promote and encourage growth for the warehouse staff. 
• Establishes proper scheduling of employees to ensure a high level of productivity while maintaining control of labor costs.     
• Develops and recommends improvements in current warehouse and mailroom practices to promote efficiency for faster service and to lower costs. 
• Establishes policies and procedures for proper training of warehouse and mailroom personnel. 
• Ability to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
• Spends the majority of time interviewing, training, and selecting employees.
• Conducts Performance Reviews.
• Makes or recommends wage increases.
• Makes or recommends promotions.
• Provides for safety and security.
• Handles employees' complaints or grievances.
• Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees. 
• Plans work.
• Supervises and monitors work.
• Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.

DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:

• Able to continually lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials weighing up to 100 pounds. 
• Must be able to reach below and above shoulders while performing receiving duties. 
• Must be able to lift up to and carry up to 70 pounds. 
• Must possess the ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, weigh scale and pull carts and dollies filled with items weighing up to 100 pounds. 
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures; below 10 degrees Fahrenheit in freezer to over 115 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors. 
• Must be able to give, as well as respond to visual and aural cues. 
• Must be able to operate computer as needed on dock.
