Juice Room Associate, 2nd Shift - 2:30pm (General Labor)

Requirements:

• 0-6 months Experience in Manufacturing/Production and/or Food/Beverage or related industry is preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)

 

Job Responsibilities:

At GT’s Living Foods, our Juice Room Associates assist with ensuring that the highest quality ingredients are used to make the Kombucha that our consumers know and love. Juice Room Associates are responsible for preparing and juicing the ingredients used to make our products.

 

Essential Duties:

• Perform daily inspection of fruit for quality assurance
• Manually peel, cut, or break fruit open, place in containers and transport to the sink to be washed

• Transport containers of washed fruit and unload into an automatic juicer
• Place clean containers under juice dispenser, fill with juice and send filled containers down the production line
• Ensure each container of juice meets the proper weight requirements before securing the lid and attaching the license
• Palletize sealed juice container, manually wrap pallets with plastic, and transport to the cooler
• Disassemble fruit boxes, load onto a pallet, and wrap the pallet of empty boxes in plastic
• Participate in the cleaning of machinery and remove all debris from floor
• Clean work area and maintain a safe work environment
• Daily tasks/duties are frequently subject to rotation between Juice Room Associates
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Physical Duties and Requirements:

• Involves constant movement around the warehouse in a wet/humid environment and near moving mechanical/electrical equipment
• Employees may occasionally operate in a cold environment (30-40°F)
• Constant bending, lifting and transportation of containers filled with ingredients (up to 50 lbs.) to be inspected for quality
• Frequent bending, lifting and transportation of juice containers (up to 50 lbs.) to be palletized and placed into a cooler
• Frequent and repetitive twisting/reaching/lifting motions to transfer ingredients from containers to juicer using a one-gallon jug
• Frequent and repetitive twisting/reaching/lifting motions to retrieve and place empty containers under juicer
• Frequent and repetitive movement with hands and wrists to peel, cut, or break fruit open for juicing
• Employees are required to stand for the majority of their work shift
• Requires normal visual acuity to ensure containers are sufficiently sealed and ingredients are accurately measured
