What will you do
 

• We are looking for a dedicated Category Buyer for the IT Solutions Category Team, part of the Global Procurement Organization (GPO).
• Your category includes the procurement of different types of Software (client, server, network, security, infrastructure, cloud / SaaS and others). 
• You will act as a trusted business value enabler for SAP’s lines of businesses representing the Category Software within SAP’s Global Procurement.
• You will negotiate contracts and engage with our valued suppliers while handling the contract management of your cases.
• You will further be responsible for supplier management and sourcing strategies as well as strategic sourcing events in close alignment with the category manager.
• You will look for opportunities for improvements, innovations, and savings and perform market analysis and benchmarking to gain market intelligence.
• You will also act as an expert for more complex negotiations together with the talented Software Procurement team in Prague.

 

What you bring

 

• We are looking for highly motivated people with solid stakeholder management and negotiation skills who can establish clear priorities and manage multiple demands in a virtual, international environment.
• Since teamwork is key at SAP, we are looking for a team player with strong focus in collaboration and communication.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic procurement within a multinational business, with a background in software or security and with understanding of common license metrics is part of your skillset already. This experience will include the ability to collaborate and crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement activity.
• Fluency in English (German or any other language is a plus).
   

Meet your team
 

The IT Solutions Procurement Team as part of the Global Procurement Organization. It defines and executes in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance and controlling the global sourcing strategies and supplier management. Within your daily tasks you will work closely with the category managers for Software and Security as well as the other members of the Software Category Team located in Prague. You can expect a highly motivated, young and dynamic team with focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
