What Will You Do:

Understanding the U.S. healthcare environment and its complexities is captivating and stimulating. This team works with several Lilly Value & Access (LVA) organizations to bring operationally excellent solutions and art of the possible ideas together to transform the way we work. In this role, you will work on both transformational and operational activities for several key LVA business areas. These areas include Lilly’s Medical Field organization, Real World Evidence collection, and Supply Chain function, among others.

You will focus on driving technology solutions that enable our Value & Access team to collaborate effectively with payers and other healthcare organizations, ensuring equitable access to Lilly products in the market. You will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring technology solutions align with the goals of Lilly Value and Access.  You will encourage innovative concepts and ensure secure, resilient, modernized, and compliant operations for the many critical Tech@Lilly solutions that run Lilly’s premier affiliate.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions for payer deal modeling, including integration of AI capabilities for predictive forecasting, analytics, and optimization.

  • Partner with engineering teams to implement ETL pipelines, manage databases, and integrate cloud computing solutions.

  • Be an active, hands-on member of development tasks when required, particularly as it relates to leveraging Generative AI for innovative solutions such as data analysis or process optimization.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to improve the Value & Access business function.

  • Leverage knowledge of US Healthcare, including payers, plans, formularies, rebates, and fees, to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Thought-Leadership:

  • Collaborate with LVA business functions to define and prioritize technology needs that align with market access goals.

  • Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and technical specifications.

  • Develop and manage the product roadmap for solutions that support the key business functions in LVA.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users to maximize adoption of new solutions.

  • Present update to senior leadership on product performance, progress, and future opportunities.

Your Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management of information systems or related technical field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology

  • Previous hands-on experience with ETL processes and database management (e.g., SQL, Redshift, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Previous experience implementing AI capabilities

  • Strong understanding of data modeling and datalake architectures.

  • Previous experience in Project Management, particularly leading large programs in the commercial space.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in IT in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

  • Familiarity with analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau

  • Familiarity with developing in AWS (Glue, Lambda)

  • Familiarity with web development including React and Java Script

  • Understanding of Agile software development or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
