Janitor

A Janitor is responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of a building or facility. This role ensures that workspaces, common areas, and restrooms are clean, safe, and well-presented for employees, visitors, and customers.

• Clean the assigned area which could be an aircraft, building, hospital, warehouse, schools, universities, and other facilities.
• Duties may include cleaning and maintaining carpets and hard surface floors by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Dusting furniture, pictures, ventilation, lights, and blinds, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning windows, restrooms and other normal cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms; restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Perform routine deep‑cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning or floor polishing.
• Maintain break rooms, kitchens, and eating areas.
• Operate basic cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums, floor scrubbers).
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs.
• Refill custodial supply closets and track inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
