What does it mean to be an Infrastructure Administrator (System/Cloud Operations)?The Infrastructure Administrator I (System/Cloud Operations) reports to the Director, IT Infrastructure Administration (System/Cloud Operations) and is responsible for administering and maintaining server systems and functions at the local, datacenter, and cloud level.

What does it mean to be an Infrastructure Administrator (System/Cloud Operations)?The Infrastructure Administrator I (System/Cloud Operations) reports to the Director, IT Infrastructure Administration (System/Cloud Operations) and is responsible for administering and maintaining server systems and functions at the local, datacenter, and cloud level.
How will you drive value within the organization as an Infrastructure Administrator (System/Cloud Operations)?
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure:
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability to meet service level agreements with vendor partners
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Monitor the performance level of servers, software, and hardware to meet company expectations for operational efficiency
- Manage back-up solutions for infrastructure, data centers, and cloud operations
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Build, decommission, and set-up servers, cloud devices, and network infrastructure
- Act as a liaison for DevOps implementations into the production environment
- Administer Office 365 and Exchange Online including:
- Licensing, mail flow, and mailbox compliance
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Management including set-up of users, setting permissions, security groups
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management
What should you already know to be successful as an Infrastructure Administrator (System/Cloud Operations)?
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
- Microsoft series certification AZ-900 and AZ-104 or better preferred
- AWS Administration Associate or better preferred
- Proven extensive Active Directory, Office 365 Administration required
- High knowledge of Windows Server 2012R2 – 2022 required
- Knowledge and usage of Linux (Debian and RPM) preferred
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred
- Experience with monitoring and automation systems
- Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)
- Solid networking skills (OSI Network Layers, TCP/IP)
- Enterprise Backup Solutions experience (Veeam, Rubrik, Druva, CommVault) is essential, and preferred.
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
