Laundry Worker | Full-Time, Year - Round w/ Benefits | $17.00/ Hour

Description

Primary Objective of Position:

To sort and process the cleaning of laundry and linen, following washing instructions carefully, and folding and stacking the clean laundry and linen according to specifications.

Major Areas of Accountability:

1. Sorts laundry according to fabric, type, color, item, or soil concentration to assure proper cleaning.

2. Loads washers and dryers efficiently at recommended weight to maintain equipment operation.

3. Folds and finishes linens in a neat and uniform fashion to provide guest satisfaction.

4. Operates, maintains, and cleans all laundry equipment to keep in good working order.

5. Advises supervisor of any unusual or extraordinary problems within the department or with the department machinery to allow for immediate correction.

6. Adheres to scheduled work hours, is punctual and gives ample notice if unable to meet schedule to assure smooth operation of department.

7. Attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.

8. Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention to facilitate prompt corrective action when appropriate.

9. Drives laundry truck for pick up of dirty linens and drop off of clean linens 

10. Performs related duties as required or requested.

Schedule:

- 8:00a-4:00p 5 days a week with 2 days off

- $1.00 more when working weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

Requirements

Requirements: 

- Need to hold a valid driver’s license 

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull, and stretch. 

- Must be able to work on feet for 8 hours a day 

- Must be able to lift maximum of 50 lbs.
