FluidLogic is an exciting startup at the intersection of hydration and wearable technology. Creating products for a variety of vertical markets, including the U.S. Military.
We provide “hydration for the human race” by building cutting-edge Active Hydration™ systems for active people doing active things. 
Born in Motorsports & Powersports, our products are now relied on by winning NASCAR, IndyCar, Trophy Truck, and other professional racing teams.
As the Product Owner for FluidLogic, you will be responsible for guiding the development of our app-driven wearable device, ensuring that the product delivers exceptional value to users. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing, and customer support to define product features, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure that the app meets the highest standards of functionality, usability, and performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management within the consumer electronics or mobile app industry, with a passion for wearable technology and user-centered design. 

What You Own:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the app that drives our wearable device, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and market trends. 
  • Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the highest-impact features are developed and delivered in a timely manner. 
  • Feature Definition: Collaborate with design, engineering, and other teams to define detailed product features and user stories. Ensure that features are well-documented and aligned with the product vision. 
  • User Experience (UX): Advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring that the app provides a seamless, intuitive, and enjoyable experience. Work closely with the UX/UI design team to create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and final designs. 
  • Agile Development: Lead the product development process using Agile methodologies. Work with Scrum teams to ensure that features are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress, changes, and roadblocks. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:Utilize data analytics, user feedback, and market research to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of the app and wearable product. 
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies. Use this knowledge to inform the product roadmap and ensure that our app and wearable remain competitive in the market. 
  • Product Launch & Go-to-Market: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute product launches. Ensure that the app is ready for market, with all necessary features, documentation, and support materials in place. 
  • Continuous Improvement: After launch, continuously monitor product performance, user feedback, and market conditions to identify opportunities for enhancements, updates, and new features. 

What You Bring:

  • Academic Background:  A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or relative years of experience.  

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in a lead role within full-stack development.  

  • Technical Expertise:  
  • Experience within an agile environment
  • Experience working with firmware engineers
  • Profound knowledge in frontend app development using ReactNative, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience on the backend
  • Strong understanding of state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit, Recoil, or Zustand, etc. 
  • Experience with mobile development frameworks like Expo 
  • Strong experience in backend development, including proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix Framework.  
  • Solid understanding of frontend web technologies like HTML, CSS, and React.  
  • Extensive experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, SES, ELB, CloudWatch).  
  • Competence in database design, data handling, and management.  
  • Software Development Best Practices: Familiarity with GitHub, contemporary software development workflows, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions. 
  • Independent Leadership: Ability to lead projects independently, focusing on results and meeting deadlines.
