Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operational needs of our buildings. This role is responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is potentially temporary with a minimum of 6 months duration, covering for incumbent’s extended leave. Jetseal is growing rapidly, and this role may become permanent regardless of incumbent.    

 

The hours for this role are Monday through Thursday, from 6:00am to 4:30pm, scheduled 40 hours.

 

Qualifications

Essential functions

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and basic carpentry.
• Conduct regular inspections of all buildings to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and repair requirements.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with property management and external vendors for escalated repairs or specialized services.
• Maintain building security systems and monitor access equipment when required.
• Assist with office relocations, furniture assembly, and setup as needed.

 

• Ensure cleanliness and general upkeep of mechanical rooms, supply storage areas, and exterior grounds.
• Monitor and assist with janitorial services in-between vendor visits.
• Support emergency response protocols and assist in safety drills or building evacuations.
• Backup other maintenance roles as needed

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Technical training or certifications in building maintenance, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working on ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, or in tight spaces as needed.
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of tools used in electrical and maintenance trades
• Familiarity with manufacturing a plus
