Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Project Manager for our Arlington, VA office.
This selected individual will provide onsite and offsite technical support during the construction of Dominion Energy’s (DE’s) operations base (Ops Base) located at Fairwinds Landing in Norfolk, VA.
This development will include wharf improvements and the construction of a 48,000 square foot building. The Ops Base will serve as the operations and maintenance center for the CVOW project.
The job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide a experienced and skilled on-site owner’s representative on a 40 hours per week basis, supporting DE in monitoring work progress with a particular focus on construction costs, performance, quality, and schedule as far as possible during the weekly working hours as per above.
- Collaborate with contractors on HSE matters.
- Conduct detailed reviews of contract documents, pay requisitions, invoices including subcontractors, and change order requests.
- Attend and participate in weekly construction, safety, and schedule meetings as well as attending the monthly owners’ meetings.
- Respond to technical and commercial inquiries related to Ops Base construction as well as future operations of this operations port.
- Review and comment RFIs, change order requests, pay requisitions, and contractor and subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare weekly reports.
- Prepare detailed monthly cost variance analysis reports comparing costs incurred to the project budget.
- Conduct detailed reviews of the construction schedule to monitor progress,
- Attend and participate in meetings with DE and Fairwinds.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid Drivers License and must be able to pass AECOM Motor Vehicle Record review
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering
- 7+ years of project management experience i
- Experience working in large and complex projects/programs
- Experience with government agencies/projects
- Strong background managing complex client development programs
- Well organized and adept at multi-tasking working with master agreements and multiple task orders
- Understanding of pre-development efforts
- Management experience with P3, Design Build and other Alternative Delivery projects
