This job is focused on leading our Corporate Strategic Projects. The Corporate Strategy team partners closely with Vestas’ CEO and Executive Management to orchestrate the company’s strategic planning and enable execution of initiatives that secure Vestas’ long-term competitiveness. We operate globally across the five Vestas Regions and the value chain with high autonomy, accountability, and focus from senior management.
Responsibilities
As Corporate Strategic Projects, you will direct Vestas’ most critical enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, working at the intersection of strategy execution and transformation. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across business areas and regions to ensure strategic alignment and impact. Your extended team will include functional and regional strategy anchors, with whom you’ll partner to execute and deliver results on high-priority strategic projects.
Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy, Global Intelligence and M&A, you will be responsible for:
- Manage the execution of large-scale, cross-functional strategic projects aligned with Vestas’ corporate priorities and transformation agenda
- Collaborate with senior leaders across business units, regions, and functions to ensure alignment, buy-in, and effective delivery of strategic outcomes
- Providing thought leadership and insights on emerging trends, risks, and business opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Apply structured thinking and systematic rigor to solve complex business challenges and translate strategy into actionable plans
- Prepare and deliver high-quality updates, recommendations, and insights to the Executive Management Team and other key stakeholders
Qualifications
To perform well in this position, we expect you to be an experienced consultant with Corporate Strategy experience, ideally gained in capital goods, energy, or utilities industries. Further, we expect you to bring the following:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or in-house strategy roles within complex, global organizations
- University degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or similar
- Comfortable interacting with senior and executive management; directing decisions and guiding complex discussions in an efficient, fact-based manner
- Directed large strategic projects in challenging business environments efficiently
- Extensive understanding of industry dynamics from financial, competitive, operational, and regulatory perspectives
- Experience of working in a complex, international corporate culture
- Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken)

Additional information
This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark where our team and several other stakeholders are located. The role requires the ability to work on-site on a weekly basis.
