The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Customer Services and Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

 

 

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SMS Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for our product, collaborating with stakeholders, and working closely with the development team to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements based on business value.
• Create and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritized.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
• Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancements.

• Engage with Project Managers for Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews. 
• Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success.
• Continuously gather customer feedback and iterate on product features to enhance user experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
• Ability to balance technical and strategic requirements and take a technical approach to design specifications of our large-scale network  
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience using product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Aha!).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in [AWS, Azure, GCP, DevOps] is a plus.
