Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive candidate that has a strong background in SRE and DevOps principles with excellent communication skills to help secure SentinelOne’s cloud services and offerings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of our cloud security architecture, policies, and automation
- Help drive cloud security solutions within our existing security architecture frameworks (e.g. credential management, access provisioning, authentication and authorization, data security, network security, application security, infrastructure security, security monitoring, and operational security)
- Perform security related tasks in AWS and GCP as needed in security adjacent areas such as credential and identity management, data security, network security, application security, infrastructure security, security monitoring, and operational security
- Write tools and scripts to automatically remediate known issues and and other security automation needs
- Promote cloud security hygiene that conform to existing security and compliance standards such as SOC II and FedRAMP
- Summarize cloud security risks to all relevant stakeholders, including the identification and implementation of solutions to reduce our cloud security risk and exposure
- Be a security champion throughout the organization by encouraging security awareness and implementing best practices through developing and facilitating internal training materials
- Elevate and guide the team with your knowledge and background on Site Reliability and DevOps matters
- Promote and develop a culture of best practices by automating infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and delivery of applications and services using tools such as Jenkins, Github actions, CI/CD, etc.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized security applications and microservices
- Communicate with management and peers by creating and tracking KPIs or OKRs
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting a cloud-based SaaS application in any operational capacity (SRE, DevOps, Security Engineering, etc)
- 3+ years of working with one of the three main cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong knowledge with the basics of those clouds: Compute, IAM, KMS, VPC, and other core cloud concepts
- Experience designing cloud networks that are scalable and secure in a multi-region environment
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code industry best practices and how to implement them (Terraform, Pulumi, Cloudformation, etc)
- Knowledge of cloud deployment pipelines, and applied experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle practices
- Practical knowledge of what it means to validate that an environment is meeting all security and compliance controls including assembling reports, gathering evidence, creating diagrams, and otherwise assisting with the audit process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containers and microservices such as Kubernetes/ECS and Serverless technologies
- Exposure to SCA tooling (Veracode, Checkmarx, etc)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps, AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure AZ-500, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and/or CISSP
- CNCF CKA and/or CKS
- FedRAMP experience
