Job Description
Job Summary
Supervise and manage the associates in Machining, Assembly and Test as well as Quality Gate on the assigned shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; MT FSS / WR). Act as an interface to HR, QA and LOG concerning production related issues. Make and execute operational measures to ensure achievement of production goals based on safety, quality and cost goals.
Detailed responsibilities:
- Supervise personnel and administer company policy in a manner consistent with Bosch Rexroth’s standards.
- Consistently monitor and appraise employees' performance to expected levels and to praise excellent performance and to correct inappropriate behavior or unsatisfactorily job performance.
- Counsel, develop and train employees to achieve both company goals and individual associates career goals
- Manage key metrics (Safety, Quality, Productivity, 5S, value stream delivery performance and others) utilizing CIP, BPS and other tools to improve Safety, Cost, Quality and Delivery.
- Support creation, implementation and Maintenance of Standardized Work instructions as required.
- Proactive in learning and applying new/progressive methods (BPS), and support implementation and follow ups.
- Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as assigned.
- Other special assignments as determined by VS Group Leader / Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associate Degree in Engineering/Machining or equivalent experience;
- 4+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of fluid power and hydraulics and Lean Manufacturing
- 2+ years supervisory skills demonstrating ability to provide guidance to team leaders on technical issues and perform daily meetings
- Ability to consistently apply established standards, policies, and procedures in meeting business objectives
- Goal oriented self-starter, not afraid to make independent decisions based on an operational assessment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills
- PC experience with a good working knowledge of ERPs (SAP) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read blueprints and hydraulic schematics
- Ability to professionally and positively interact with customers and business colleagues
