The job will primarily involve responsibility over the Company’s accounts receivable, credit memos and month end procedures.  This will entail reviewing and processing customer accounts receivable, calculating and applying customer credit memos and assisting with month-end close processes. This position will report to the Controller and will work closely with senior staff on the team on various accounting activities as required. #LI-IB1

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collecting delinquent payments, researching past due invoices, and posting cash on commercial accounts.
  • Assists in timely response for AR mail box inquiries.
  • Liaise and work extensively with internal Sales teams/management to improve collection ability.
  • Prepare, analyze, and deliver Bad Debt Reserve Analysis
  • Apply customer credit memos
  • Applying cash that is received in the company’s bank account and reconciling all cash balances to the bank on a monthly basis
  • Supporting the Accounting group in the monthly financial close process by preparing accruals.
  • Support the annual audit process by providing audit deliverables.
  • Support accounting staff to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Back up for A/P Specialist.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability.
  • The ability to stay organized and maintain records accurately. This position will require the candidate to be able to formulate working processes to ensure he/she stays organized.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks when there are competing demands.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite will be a plus.
  • The ability to complete tasks efficiently without supervision.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in an accounting role with experience in expense reports and accounts receivable processing.
  • Prior experience with accounts receivable and general ledger accounting would be a plus.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $66,700 to $92,800 per year.
