About the role
Job Summary
Accountant I is an entry-level accounting position responsible for many records within the
company that the accountant must keep track of. Records will include but may not be limited
to: liabilities, assets, tax liabilities, profit and loss, and any of the organization's other financial
activities. The accountant will also be responsible for preparing the financial reports by
reviewing and analyzing the financial data received from the company. Management will also
require the accountant to generate and interpret financial records. In addition to preparing
reports and maintaining records, the accountant will also be in charge of maintaining the
general ledger. The accountant will be trusted with the financial data of the company and will
be required to examine the data to make sure that all financial records are accurate.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
ï· Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities
within an organization.
ï· Maintain general ledger as needed.
ï· Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
ï· Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management.
ï· Other duties as assigned.
Salary:
$65,000 QualificationsKnowledge and Skills
ï· Knowledge of general ledger accounting.
ï· Knowledge of an Accounting Shared Services Center environment.
ï· Evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats.
ï· Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (US GAAP).
ï· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
ï· Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
ï· Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
ï· Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
ï· Time management and time critical prioritization skills
Education and Experience
ï· Bachelor’s Degree Required
ï· Master’s Degree Preferred
ï· 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
