The Clinical Transport Nurse provides professional nursing care through high-quality assessment, triage / treatment to assess the nature and extent of a patient's illness / injury and prioritize the needed care. Provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Patients often are intubated, on ventilators, or have hemodynamic instability. The Clinical Transport Nurse performs invasive procedures and hemodynamic management of critical patients. Manges ventilator settings, vasopressors, and solves complex clinical challenges. The Clinical Transport Nurse must have strong clinical knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients of all ages with a diverse range of medical needs (neonatal ā geriatric) operating specialized medical equipment and utilizing advanced skills.
